As part of the WWF Conservation Stamp Collection, Niue released on 5 September 2012, a set of stamps celebrating the giant sea fans. These fans can grow up to spans of 2 metres, and can be found from depths of 10 metres down to 50 metres. Neither the stamps, nor the accompanying souvenir sheet, contain any designs related to scuba diving, however, the first day cancellation for this issue features a scuba diver, to reflect a major tourist experience in Niue.

Niue 2009 Snorkelling in the Limu Pools

Niue released a new set of 11 definitive stamps on 14 September, amongst them, the $2.00 stamp features snorkellers reveling in the Limu Pools of the island. The set of stamps were also issued as a set of 2 souvenir sheets, one with 6 stamps, the other with 5, the snorkelling stamp is found in the sheet with 5 stamps.
