Aruba 2012 Wrecks

Aruba issued a set of 10 stamps with the theme of underwater exploration on 15 November 2012, in a se-tenant block of 2 x 5 stamps. Five of the stamps feature marine fauna: orange cup coral, elkhorn coral, a stingray, a queen angelfish and a green turtle; the other five feature underwater wrecks: a Convair 400, the SS Antilla - a German freighter scuttled by its captain  to avoid confiscation when Germany attacked the Netherlands in May 1940, the Jane Sea - a 76-m cement carrier sunk in 1988, the Star Gerren - a 67-m tanker sunk in 2000, and the Kappel - a 51-foot steel boat sunk in 2009 and strategically located on the sandy sea floor next to the Mangel Halto reef at a shallow depth of about 16 metres for easy access by scuba divers. The stamp featuring the Kappel wreck include a scuba diver in its design.

Papua New Guinea 2011 American B-17F “Black Jack” Underwater Wreck

Papua New Guinea released on 16 November 2011 a set of stamps featuring war relics which are remains of fierce fighting between the Japanese and Allied forces during World War II. The issue contains, among others, a souvenir sheet featuring the underwater wreck of an American B-17F "Black Jack", discovered perfectly intact in 1986 in Milne Bay Province. Nowadays this wreck is often explored by scuba divers from around the world.

Aland 2009 Wreck Diving

The Åland Post issued this stamp on wreck diving on 8 May 2009. I could not garner much info about the stamp design except that it is an artist's impression, and the artist's name is on the stamp: Anette Gustafsson. There are 2 divers here, one finning over the wreck, the other wielding a bright torch, starting to descend to the wreck. Perhaps this is an impression of a salvage work in progress, since the wreck seems to be in the shallows and looks relatively new, with most of the ropes intact.
